LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT HOMESTUCK
I am excited for writing this post; but first you need to enter to the Sburb game...
Homestuck is a webcomic that is written, illustrated and animated by Andrew Hussie; you can read it on the website MS Paint Adventures.
He is Andrew Hussie
He appears in the web comic too
I could try explaining Homestuck, but the only word that can describe Homestuck is Homestuck. Point.
Homestuck is divided into acts...to be honest act 1, act 2 and act 3 are the most boring thing ever but READING THEM ITS WORTH IT.
I DONT KNOW WHAT IS, BUT HOMESTUCK IT'S ADDICTIVE; I DON'T KNOW IF THE DRAWINGS HAVE SOME KIND OF DRUG THAT MAKES YOU WANT MORE AND READ IT MORE AND YOU LOSE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH but it's worth it.
Example of the kind of animations you will find on Homestuck
In fact I'll leave this example here DONT READ A WEBCOMIC CALLED HOMESTUCK video
Right now the web comic is on hiatus so basically everyone is waiting for an update like:
The web comic is about a group of internet friends who are going to play this game called Sburb. The story begins when John Egbert receives a copy of a computer game called Sburb; he instals it and the game triggers a meteor attack on his house, the only way to survive is by being transported to another planet with the help of his server player, which in John's case is Rose Lalonde; eventually John's friends, Jade Harley and Dave Strider, join the game and when they are in the game they discover that they have unwillingly triggered the end of the world, therefore their duty is to play the game and complete it.
This is fanart
These are the actual drawings
While they are playing they are constantly bothered by twelve trolls from the planet Alternia who also played the game and now are trapped in it because of Jack Noir, they seem to want to bother and troll the kids in the beginning but in reality they just want their help, they also want to be helped. Eventually they learn that the result of winning the game is creating a new universe; when the trolls won their game they created our universe.
Lovely fanart
Actual trolls
It results that the sessions of the kids result doomed too so they need to find a way to restart the game and connect it with the session of the trolls, this method is called the scratch; when they try to do this it causes that the ancestors from the kids now play the game and you get to see the ancestors of the trolls and...puff I don't know if i can really continue explaining from here since it gets more difficult and since this is the part that I'm currently reading.
The ancestors of the beta kids (from left to right) Roxy Lalonde, Jake English, Dirk Strider, Jane Crocker.
The beta trolls or the pre-scratch trolls or the ancestors of the alpha trolls
Homestuck is definitely a most read because you also have interactive games and awesome fanart and lets not talk about the fandom, not for nothing we are called the weirdest fandom on Tumblr...unlike in the supernatural post I won't show examples because they could be disturbing for people who haven't read Homestuck...However I will post some videos later which you should watch, they include Homestuck animations.
Homestuck is covered with a lot of humour and rap and ingenious complicated language to hide the fact that it is a really sad story...when you actually understand how the characters must feel and what they have gone through you just want to...
but what you really do is:
and
so in the end you just pretty much end up like Karkat: (who is one of the beta trolls)
But the fandom has the best animators you could ever ask for:
This is just an example of Dave Strider, you can find some of my favourite Homestuck animations Here and Here
If you don't plan on reading it then please at least see this video which resumes from act 1 to 3.
