Ouran High school Host Club was created by Bisco Hatori, the manga was first published in 2003 and it concluded on 2010.
Ouran High school Host Club (OHSHC) had it's anime adaptation on 2006, as always the manga it's quite different from the anime...but it was a good adaptation.
The story starts with Haruhi Fujioka is a student with a scholarship at the Ouran Academy, which is a prestigious school for rich people; one day when she is trying to find a peaceful place to study, she stumbles across the Third Music Room, this room is used by the Host Club. The Host Club is a group of six male students form Ouran who gather after school to entertain female clients.
In their first encounter Haruji drops a vase valued in ¥8,000,0 ; however she doesn't count with the money to repay it, since she isn't rich; so Kyoya Otoori tells her she can repay the cost in service to the club as an errand boy.
Something important here is that they confuse Haruhi with a boy...So at first they don't notice she is a girl. When Haruhi is working at the club, the other members notice she would be useful as a host so they "promote her" from errand boy to a host. Eventually they discover she is a girl, but they don't care, they still have her attend the clients as a male host. This is where our adventure begins.

Ouran is cataloged as a romance funny comedy, it's true, Tamaki Suou likes Haruhi, he is "The King" of the Host Club, but he is so clueless that he doesn't even notice he likes Haruhi. But unlike other romance comedies, this is A HAPPY ONE, but still it will make you cry, BELIEVE ME AND MARK MY WORDS.
Throughout the series you get to see the adventures of Haruhi, Tamaki, Kyoya, Honey-senpai, Mori-senpai, Hikaru and Kaoru; they eventually become friends and work together. Haruhi is the only one who has her feet on the ground...I mean, the host club wouldn't drink "commoners" coffee, for them "commoners" coffee is Nescafé...

I really recommend watching OHSHC if you want to laugh, it's really funny, for example:
Honey-senpai...he looks cute and is the Lolita Shota type, but he attends highschool, loves cake and it's an expert in martial arts.
You get to see the friendship between these two adorable dorks, Tamaki and Kyoya
Plus Kyoya being the "mom" of the club. Kyoya is the "cool type" and his family is really wealthy, they call him the Evil Lord. But he isn't actually evil, he is sassy.
Hikaru and Kaoru have to act incest to attract clients, it's pretty funny to watch this. Poor little kid getting all scared.
Homo side characters...LOL. Tamaki, no. Actually there aren't homo side characters but Tamaki is a drama king.
